What is Prop 50?

This “special election” is to decide whether to temporarily change California’s Congressional voting districts through 2030 and then give map-drawing back to the Citizens Redistricting Commission in 2031.

Parts of Sonoma County would change Congressional Districts if Prop 50 is passed. You can view the proposed districts and the old map at https://statewidedatabase.org/d25/draft-districts/.

The League of Women Voters of California handles statewide ballot measures. It announced it will not take a position on Proposition 50.
